English and Communication skills subject are the backbone of the technology. For the better and optimum utilization of available resources and for the students’ English Language Development, our English Section introduced one month long ‘Language Development Program’ for the first year students using available resources books from the library and giving them more task related language learning. In the very introduction, total 50 out of 68 students registered for the program, and the demand for such program is queuing up. Another activity undertaken by all the faculties to improve the students’ performance in the exam was that every Saturday and Sunday special sessions were arranged to minimize the fear of English and as a result almost recorded above 85% result of English subject, in the First Semester Examination conducted by MSBTE. The department provide the students with a number of opportunities to develop their overall personality by participating in the various cultural and co-curricular activities held throughout the year as the department take very active part in organizing these activities. The subjects enable students to identify the problem, to set the order of events, to analyze the problems & by using engineering knowledge to solve the problems & to set standard procedures to tackle any type of problem in future. Also the newly introduced subjects like DLS & BSC will develop capabilities in the field of searching & assimilating information, managing the given task of solving challenging problems with necessary confidence & ability to understand technological concepts.
